Another Day At The

Beach

Chapter 13

Tess lay out on the beach under a pink

beach umbrella to protect her from the hot sun.

Lying next to her was Layla; lying next to her

was Vanessa with Beast, rolled over on his

back as she rubs his stomach. Tess played

with the sand between her toes then sighs.

“So I heard you and Iris going at it last

night.” Layla said while turning her head

looking at Tess with her white beach hat on.”

“Yea it was nothing, but the usual

bullshit.” Tess replied not really wanting to get

deep in to the conversation about Iris.

“You two stay fighting and then will kiss

and make up, like always.” Vanessa said

jumping into the conversation.

“Well it sounded different last night. Like

physical, I wanted to check on you but learned

not to get involved in any ones relationship

drama.” Layla stated.

“Yea it got physical, she thought she

was the man in this relationship, but i wouldn’t

even call it that. I’ll call it what it is, two friends

just fucking. She tried to put her hands on me,

so I had to lay her ass down, just like when we

use to spar in Japan when we first learned

martial arts. The funny thing that got me

puzzled is that she knows she can't beat me in

hand to hand combat, maybe she thought she

could, because all of the men contracts we

took out are easy to us, but at this point we

know each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

I can't beat Iris if she has a knife or a sword or

any other type of hand weapon unless I use my

blade whip. You’re a good fighter Layla, but

can't beat any of us in fights, but you can take

out a target easy with your skills and your

strength is your sniper rifle. You could shoot

the nuts of a squirrel fucking twenty miles away

none of us can do that. Then Vanessa is

deadly with automatic weapons close up and

explosives. Iris is my best friend, but

sometimes I worry about her and think she

needs to be on medication, I think she has a

dependent personality disorder.” Tess said

while shaking her head.

“Girl please like I said you will be kissing

and moaning by the end of the night together.

Y'all always do.” Vanessa replied.

“Not this time. I have to stop sleeping

with her before it gets even worse. Iris is a very

emotional person. She’s been that way since

we were young.”

“Did I hear my name?” Iris said as she

walks toward them from the beach house with

a blanket in her arms, concealing a Mac 10.

She lays the blanket down next to

Vanessa and buried the Mac 10 with a little bit

of sand over it so it couldn't be spotted by the

naked eye as she lays down.

“No your butt wishes you heard your

name, your conceited ass!” Vanessa said in a

joking manner causing all of them to laugh,

even Iris.

“Don't be mad because I'm a fine ass

bitch.” Iris snaps back with a smile on her face.

“So how much longer do we have to

stay here Tess?” Iris asks.

“Yea I would like to know the same

thing.” Vanessa said.

“The only one that never really

questioned me is Layla. I told y'all to just trust

me.
